I can’t honestly say that I do the happy dance EVERY time I’m on my way to the gym. I mean, don’t get me wrong - most days I’m psyched. It is my stress relief, my happy endorphin feels, my continued strength and quality of life. However, there are times when my body, mind and my sensibility are out of whack. There are moments when I feel like I’m getting enough of a workout just feeling the squabble brewing inside me. My mind and body aren’t always on the same page and it’s those times that I must be the tie-breaker. Not an easy feat when I know I’m never gonna hear the end of it, yet I manage to convince myself that a shorter than normal workout is better than none. Do what you can. Even 20 minutes is better than nothing. Your mind, body and soul will be glad you did.
